APHA Policy 200714\, A Call to Action on Breastfeeding\, highlighted that more work is urgently needed around breastfeeding\, especially in the United States. We hope to implement change by collaboration across disciplines in research and advocacy.

DESCRIPTION:Reaching Our Sisters Everywhere (ROSE) and Reaching Our Brothers Everywhere (ROBE) is ecstatic to announce that our 12th Annual Breastfeeding and Equity Summit will take place in Tulsa\, Oklahoma. The Summit will be held at the Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown\,100 East Second Street\, Tulsa\, Oklahoma\, United States\, 74103 from June 16-June 17\, 2023. \n\n\n\n\nRegister here\n\n\n\nDraft Agenda\n\n\n\nspeaker lineup\n\n\n\n\nMission\n\n\n\nReaching Our Sisters Everywhere (ROSE) Inc. was founded to address breastfeeding disparities for communities of color. ROSE works to normalize breastfeeding by providing resources and networking opportunities for individuals and communities. As a national expert\, and in partnership with communities\, we build equity in maternal and child health through culturally competent training\, education\, advocacy\, and support. \n\n\n\nSummit Profile\n\n\n\n\nThe summit audience includes physicians\, nurses\, nutritionist\, social workers\, grassroots organizations\, community health workers\, researchers\, lactation consultants\, peer counselors\, federal\, state and local government staff\, families\, and breastfeeding coalitions.\n\n\n\nSummit attendees come from all over the United States.\n\n\n\nThe daily schedule will include breaks for networking and visiting vendor tables.\n\n\n\nBreakfast and Lunch meals are included with the registration for each day of the Summit.\n\n\n\nPresentation will center on equity in breastfeeding\, maternal health\, fathers and partners\, and infant health initiatives.\n\n\n\n\nContinuing Education Credits\n\n\n\nROSE is applying for the following continuing education credits. DESCRIPTION:Titty Talk is an opportunity for BIPOC parents to gather together and speak to lactation specialists about all things breast/chestfeeding. \n\n\n\nAbout This EventSisterSong\, in partnership with ROSE\, will be hosting the first Titty Talk and Community Baby Shower of 2022. This event is a casual conversation between BIPOC parents in the Atlanta area and Lactation Specialists from ROSE about all things breastfeeding/chestfeeding. \n\n\n\nThis event will be held on Saturday\, June 25\, 2022\, from 11 am – 2 pm and will also be a Community Baby Shower as we will be providing participants with breastfeeding support items and more. Individuals must apply to become a ROSE Community Transformer\, once the application is reviewed it is followed by a phone interview and then an invitation to the training. \nThose that participate and in this training will then be connected to all of the ROSE Community Transformers that have undergone our training.
